This video shows you the different options you have when you plug in a headset into your PS4 either via the controller or the PS4 console. You can choose whether you want the chat audio (your friends chat) on your headset and the game audio through the TV or you can have both chat and game audio through the headset which is useful if you want to mute your TV and not disturb anyone.
